Question:
I tried to use your hitch ion guide but it has nothing for the 5.5foot bed. I also plan to use the hitch with a Lippert Turning Point Pinbox. Towing a 5th wheel trailer with a GVWR of 10,000 lbs. Is there an application that will work with my setup?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, we have an application that will work with your 2019 Ford F-150 with 5.5' bed and Lippert Turning Point Pin Box. With that set-up you are going to need to use a fixed hitch. I recommend the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30928. This will attach to industry standard rails in the bed of your truck. The Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # RP56034-53 are confirmed to fit your 2019 Ford F-150 with 5.5' bed. This will give you the base rails and hitch needed for your truck that is compatible with the Lippert Turning Point pin box.
I also recommend adding the Bargman 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 50-97-410-010. This will allow you to move a 7-way connector up into the bed of your truck for easier hook up of your 5th wheels wiring, while retaining use of your factory 7-way at the rear of your truck.
One thing to note. While using a fixed hitch with a rotating pin box is the best way to have the most clearance possible in a 5.5' bed, you may still not be able to make a complete 90 degree turn. I would take it slow and careful on your first few turns to ensure you have the proper clearance. It may even be beneficial to have a buddy outside of the truck the first few times as an extra set of eyes to ensure your 5th wheel does not contact the cab of your truck when turning.
