Can the cable from the old valve be used with the new valve?

Yes, the cable of your old waste valve can be used with your new Valterra Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable for RV Gray Water Tank - 72" # TC172. The cable simply gets pushed into the valve body and tightened down with an Allen key (pictured below).
