I was told this chip would work for my 1998 ford expedition v-8 5.4 l triton is this true...

The Edge Products Evolution CTS3 Programmer/Monitor, part # EP49YR is not compatible with your 1998 Ford Expedition. I have confirmed this through my Edge Products representative.
Instead, I can recommend the Superchips Dashpaq Performance Tuner - 2.4" Color Screen - Gas - Ford
Item # SU1060. This product is NOT CARB compliant, and therefore should not be installed on vehicles registered in California.
