I am so sorry to hear about your issues with your Hullaport XTs! I confirmed with Thule that your XTs will work with Thule SquareBars # TH712400
One of the most common issues with installing the XT is the way it is supposed to sit on your square crossbars. I went ahead and attached the page from the instruction manual that shows some dos and don'ts when it comes to mounting them on the bars. Even though the picture shows the XT mounting on aero-style crossbars, the same principles apply to your square crossbars.
If you are still having fitment issues, feel free to send a photo and I will do my best to verify what might be going on.
