Is The Original Mounting Plate Required When Installing Bulldog Winch On Custom-Fit ATV Mount?

Question:
Hello , if I use the bulldog winch mount for my 97 kingquad, do I need to use the winch plate that came with the winch? Or can I discard that and just use the bulldog mount.

Your Bulldog winch would attach directly to the Bulldog Winch Custom-Fit Steel ATV Winch Mount # BDW15135. The winch gets installed upside down on the bracket and you do not need to use the original mounting plate that came with your winch.
