Question:
My truck has a sizeable lift, so to make it possible to get a dirtbike up the ramp I would need to have the receiver much lower, 8-10 inches. I see the Patriot adapter Item # PH54FR. Would something like this be safe to use with this? Would I need some anti-wobble bolts in the adapter to reduce any play?

Yes, it would be safe to use the Patriot Hitches Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter - 2" Hitches - 11" Rise/Drop - 7K, part # PH54FR, with the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier w/ Ramp for 2" Hitch - 76" Long - Steel - 500 lbs, part # e98873. You should not need to add an anti-rattle devices, it has a built in anti-rattle device. You also have an anti-rattle hitch bolt in your motorcycle carrier. This adapter will provide you will 11" of drop, but please keep in mind that anytime you add an adapter to your hitch receiver you reduce its maximum tongue weight by 50%.
I have included a product link and video review links below.
