The electrical connections for Air Lift Single Needle Gauge Panel with One Paddle Switch # AL26161 are irrelevant to the gauge as far as function goes; the electrical connections are just for the display of the gauge itself. The air lines are the only things that the gauge needs to function in terms of inflating or deflating the air bags. I attached a photo that you can look at to make sure you have the air lines connected to the proper fittings.
If you are still having issues then it sounds like the switch on the gauge could be faulty in which case you can let me know so we can get it taken care of for you. If you were having issues prior to installing the gauge then perhaps you have an issue with the compressor or air lines in your system.
