What Grade Hardware is Used in Reese Universal 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit

Question:

Are the carriage bolts that go threw the plate n bed are they a special grade or will any carriage bolt work?

The carriage bolts you are referring to that go through the rails and bed of the truck are grade 5. You do not want to use hardware that is rated any lower than this. The correct hardware is part of what gives the installation kit the weight capacity rating it has. If you just need the hardware to attach the rails to the brackets then use # RP58430. But if you need the underbed brackets as well you will need # RP30439 that you referenced.
