Tonneau covers are designed to distribute the weight evenly. So standing on a folding tonneau cover, even briefly, is not recommended. But if you need to stand on a folding tonneau, make sure it is a hard folding tonneau cover and only stand on it when it is doubled back on itself. This also has an added benefit. You are never standing on the top of the tonneau cover, only the bottom, protecting the top of your tonneau cover from any visual blemishes or scuffs. Please keep in mind you are doing this at your own risk. There is always a possibility you will damage the tonneau cover if you stand on it.
