Will the Curt C13416 Fit a 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime?

Per your Questions/Answers portion of your website, I ordered a Curt C13416 hitch for my 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime XSE. Order #111725685 Placed: 07/06/2021 14:17:19 Central Daylight Time. After it arrived via UPS barely in the box, as the boxes you folks ship these heavy hitches in are not heavy enough, I took it to my local auto mechanic. They attempted to install the hitch but said the spacing between the ends of the hitch do not at all match up with the vehicle frame. They showed me to the extent I could see/understand, and what they said made sense to me. I fear the different build/dimensions of the RAV4 PRIME different vehicle than a RAV4, with a bigger battery, because it is a plug-in hybrid is not compatible with the Curt hitch you recommend. I am at a loss now as to how to proceed. I bought the hitch your website indicated should work, and I dont think it is the correct one. I am happy to take car/hitch to another mechanic if you can recommend one, but only IF you are 100 certain the Curt C13416 works on a RAV4 Prime there are very few of these in the US, and so, Im not confident youve actually had the chance to confirm the hitch would work for this vehicle.

I spoke to Curt and they have had no issues with their # C13416 being installed on any of the 2021 Toyota RAV4 options currently available. From the pictures you provided, the frame and exhaust look to be the same as the 2021 RAV4 hybrid that we did an install on. I included a link to that install video for you to check out as well.

With all that being said, I would try checking with a different installer or trying the install your self. This is rated 3 out of 10 for the install difficulty and requires just 4 bolts to be installed in the frame. However, lowering the exhaust definitely makes the install easier.
