How Does the Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock Work on a 2005 Dodge Dakota
Updated 04/22/2013 | Published 04/19/2013 >
Question:
How secure is this lock? I purchased a Bully tailgate lock for my 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab and it provides little to no security. A child can open the tailgate. I need a tailgate lock that would at least make thieves work a little to get into the truck bed.

The Pop and Lock tailgate lock # PAL3600 will offer more protection that other tailgate locks because it mounts in the housing of the handle so the lock cannot be popped out. The lock basically secures the passenger side latch from disengaging so the tailgate cannot be opened while locked.
