Camco RV Heating Wall Thermostat for Heat Only

Question:

We have a Carrier Air V and the air conditioner is out. The unit has a remote control that runs our lower furnace unit. Can the furnace unit be separated and run on a stand alone thermostat? plain Jane type with slider for temp?

The heat side of most all units are able to be controlled by an external input as they operate by simply receiving a signal of when to turn on/off. I suggest you consider the Dometic Mechanical Thermostat - Furnace Control Only, # DMC54FR. Please note the attached product review video.
