A 3 point hinge like the Replacement Lid for Jensen RV Roof Vent w/ Metal Base - Polypropylene - White # CAM40153 you were looking at just snaps on to the roof vents hinge, and then the metal strip in the center of the lid will get attached to the metal bar on your roof vent.
