Does Rear Trim of 2014 BMW X1 Need to Get Removed to Install Hitch
Updated 05/27/2021 | Published 05/26/2021 >
Question:
The trim and brackets I think are not reinstalled when installing the hitch. Is it possible with the appropriate rivet gun to reinstall them, if for instance one wanted to remove the hitch at a later date and bring the car back to its original condition?

When installing the Curt hitch part # C13140 on your 2014 BMW X1 the lower fascia does need to be temporarily removed but does get put back on. You would not have to discard it altogether or leave it off like you mentioned.
