Question:

I’m using a 2014 Toyota 4Runner to haul a Military trailer, M1102 1460 lb 662 kg empty and wanted to know if parts Pintle Hook C48215 and Hitch Plate BWPMHD14005 would be 1 compatible for connecting, and 2 appropriate for interstate and country road leisure travel. I do not expect to approach this trailer’s total load capability of 4200 lbs. Thanks

Yes the Curt Pintle Hook # C48215 will bolt up perfectly to the B&W Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for 2" Hitches # BWPMHD14005 you were looking at.

This will give you 6 different positions to mount the pintle hook so you can make sure your Military M1102 trailer is level when towing it with your 2014 Toyota 4Runner.

There is no issue towing a trailer with a lunette ring on the interstate or country roads as the Pintle hook is not only stronger than a typical ball mount, but is also arguably more secure.
