Best Kayak Roof Rack for 2013 Subaru Crosstrek

Question:

I am looking for a roof rack for a kayak that is 35” inches wide and 89 pounds AND i already have a fly rod carrier on top of my car, so i was wanting a rack that mounts the kayak more vertically/angled so that it takes up less room. What do you recommend?

My go to kayak carrier is this carrier # e98878. I've used it many many times and it's done very well. We've had the same set in the shop for years and it's still looking brand new. Even if you're in the salt water the aluminum doesn't corrode away which is nice. These take up just as much space as any other J-Style carrier but this one folds down so you don't have to remove it every time you want to park in your garage and it won't make much wind noise in the lowered position. Folding down is nice but of course you can adjust the carrier to get as vertical as you need to make it fit on your roof with your rod carrier.

It seems like you already have a roof rack on your 2013 Subaru Crosstrek since you already have a rod carrier on the roof. If you're actually needing a roof rack, let me know and I can give you some options!
