Helpful Expert Reply:
The Bulldog Trailer Hitch Lock for 2" Hitches, Part # BD580402, will not affect the gross towing weight capacity of your Class IV hitch receiver. (Typically all hitch pins are rated well in excess of their actual load requirements.) Since this product is constructed of solid stainless steel it is actually stronger than a standard 5/8-inch diameter pin. The inside pin length is 2-1/2 inches making for an easy fit in 2-inch receivers.
I have included a link to a product review video for this item.
