Does The Magnaflow 6" Exhaust Tip MF35215 Require The Exhaust Pipe To Be Cut Back?

Question:
Does this just slide on over the current exhaust pipe or does the stock pipe need cut back before this clamps on?

The MagnaFlow 6" Exhaust Tip - Stainless, Clamp-On # MF35215 is made to fit tailpipes that are 5" in diameter. You do not need to cut back the exhaust pipe to install this; no welding or cutting is required.
