Bike Rack Solution for Truck Towing Airstream Camper

Question:

Hello We have a 2016 Airstream International and a Thule Helium 2 aluminum bike rack that we would like to mount on the tongue and are wondering if the Swagman 80503 Straddler would work. I understand that we would not to exceed 100 lbs including rack. We are interested in a tongue mount because we do not wish to attach a rack to the back of the trailer as we would need to breach the trailer skin to do so. Thank you for your assistance.

The Swagman Straddler part # S80503 was designed for what you are looking to do with your Thule Helium but it looks like you don't have a whole lot of clearance on the trailer frame for this to attach to. A different route that might fit easier is the Lippert Jack-It part # LC429756 which attaches to the mounting bracket of your trailer jack and wouldn't require any frame clearance. This also wouldn't require you to use your Thule Helium as well.
