Upgrading Reese Trunnion Weight Distribution System to 1,200 lb Tongue Weight Rating
Updated 04/27/2021 | Published 04/24/2021 >
Question:
Running older style Reese Dual Cam WD sway control system. Right now my existing bars are rated for 800 lbs but my tongue weight is closer to 1000. I need to go to the 1200 lb bars but aren’t sure if they will work with my existing head. Pins on existing bars measure right at 15/16” dia. Will RP66009 bars work? Thanks!

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes since the ends of your spring bars are curved you can use the part # RP66009 as a replacement which will upgrade the tongue weight rating of your setup to 600-1,200 lbs like you are wanting.
