Question:

Will this ladder work to deboard my boat? Its a 1997 Searay 400 express, and I want to use it inside to exit the boat. The original ladder is not wide enough for big shoes

I was unable to find the specifics of your 1997 Searay 400's gunwale or ladder. However, I can tell you that the Jif Marine Gunwale Hook Ladder, part # JIF73FR, has a 7" depth in its hook. So, if your gunwale or ladder-mounting position is 7" or less, this will work to de-board. It is 60" high with three 15" wide steps.

If you are needing something longer or a wider hook, then there is a larger version. It's part # JIF83FR. This one has an 11" deep hook and five 15" steps at 60" high. Both of them have a 250-lb capacity.
