I think I have a great alternative. I confirmed with Aries that the Rocker Steps w / Custom Installation Kit # AA2074103 will not fit on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo X with or without the cladding covering. There are, however, some black AeroTread Running Boards w/ Custom Installation Kit # AA2061032 and polished stainless AeroTread Running Boards w/ Custom Installation Kit # AA2051032 that are good alternatives. The AeroTread Running boards do require you to temporarily remove the rocker trim, but you will be able to reinstall them at the end of the installation process.
