How To Use License Plate Bracket and Light With Rola LED Light Kit for Railed Cargo Carriers

Ive read through all the reviews for the Rola 59502 hitch cargo carrier, and attaching the Rola light kit 59516. I saw one answer that answered this, but I wanted to double check what your recommendation would be to install a trailer license plate light to the Rola light kit and weatherproofing that connection for rain. Do you connect something like the Optronics LPL55CB and tap into the wires on the Rola light kit?

Correct, you'd simply splice the power wire (black) from the Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Light part # LPL55CB into the running light circuit (usually brown) of the Rola LED Light Kit for Railed Cargo Carriers part # 59516. The ground wire (white) can then be spliced into the ground circuit on the light kit as well. In regards to weather resistance, just use heat shrink butt connectors part # DW05744-5 and you'll be fine.
