Question:
Will this hitch fit a 2020 Ford Escape if I take it off my 2011 Ford Escape New Escape is not a hybrid

Expert Reply:
Your 2011 Escape is a 2nd generation and the 2020 is a 4th generation, so unfortunately there are significant differences in the rear structure of the vehicle that prevent the hitch from your 2011 from fitting your new 2020. The good news is that there are thousands upon thousands of 2011 Escapes still on the road, and there's likely a market for a used hitch if you were to post it on a buy/sell/trade type website and use the proceeds to defray part of the cost of a new hitch.
For your 2020, I'd recommend the etrailer Class 3 hitch, part # e89YR. This is a partially concealed design, which means that only the receiver tube and the safety chain loops will be visible from the rear of the vehicle. The hitch crossbar will be concealed behind the bumper for a much better appearance.
If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need a wiring harness like # TE54FR, a ball mount like # 2753 and for a trailer ball use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
