Question:

I purchased the trailer hitch attachment for my 2021 Tiguan R-Line AWD 5 passenger model. When I went to check out the setup under the vehicle, I found that my model has the 2 holes on each side of frame rails but no screws. So I purchased the M10-1.50x40MM bolts that were in the instruction guide, but they are not compatible. Please let me know if you have a solution for this. Thank you

That's really odd that your 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan didn't come with bolts and weld nuts already present on the frame that you'd use to install the Curt hitch # C13381 but we do have a way to help. What you are going to need to do is get a bolt leader like the part # 80101-1 with a carriage bolt, carriage bolt block, and nut to route the bolt and hardware through the frame and out of the hole with the hitch in place. From underside pictures of your vehicle you do have enough frame hole access to do this relatively easy.

Fishwiring is a hard concept to describe but it's pretty simple once you see it in practice. Check out the video I attached to this page that shows how it's down.
