Good morning, I have a 2017 Ford F-150 with short bed. I am getting ready to purchase your ladder rack Item # A4001221. It looks like this rack is for a 6 1/2 foot truck bed. Will I need to cut it down to length? Thank you

The Adarac # A4001221 Aluminum Series Ladder Rack you'd looked at is indeed a fit for a 2017 Ford F-150 with a 6-1/2 foot bed. Because the rack attaches to the truck via the front and rear-most stake pocket, you wouldn't be able to cut it down to work on the 5-1/2 foot bed on your truck. The good news is that Adarac makes the same rack that's compatible with the 5-1/2 foot bed as part # A4001234.
