Do You Need To Change RV Battery Charger/Converter When Switching To Lithium Batteries

Question:

2021 Winnebago Micro Minnie 1808 FBS. Want to replace acid battery with lithium batt, looking at a battleborn. Do I also have to replace the converter/charger. If so, what is the in replacement model#? Thanks.

Some of the newer trailers have a lithium setting for charging lithium batteries, so you will want to check with Winnebago or the equipment owner's manual for your 2021 Winnebago Micro Minnie 1808 FBS to see if there is a lithium battery setting.

If there is not a lithium setting you will need to replace your current battery charger/converter with one with the same amp rating to avoid damaging your factory wiring. If you can provide the brand and model of your current battery charger/converter I would be happy to confirm the correct replacement
