Question:

Hello- I have a 2016 Mazda 6 that I would like to add a hitch bike mount for carrying a 64 lb ebike could reduce the weight to 55 by removing the battery. I was looking at the Yakima Onramp and the Curt 11356 hitch. Would these work together? The Yakima website says maybe, especially if there isnt a stop in the hitch. Thx.

Yakima bike racks that fit the 1-1/4 inch hitch size only can fit the Class II hitch which for your 2016 Mazda 6 there is only a Class I hitch available like the Curt # C11356. So the best bike rack solution would be the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 which is Class I compatible, has a ramp setup that pulls out, and has the higher capacity needed for E-bikes since it is an E-bike rack.
