Hi, I am curious if there is a fitting kit so that I can mount an old Thule 400 roof rack on a 2016 vw gti 5 door. Any thoughts? Thank you!

The Thule 400 roof rack foot pack was discontinued almost 20 years ago. Unfortunately it's obsolete and no currently available clamp kit would be compatible with it.
There is an available new rack that's a fit, which would consist of the following parts for vehicles with a bare roof:
• For a Square Crossbar, use # TH712400. Aero style crossbars are available in black as part # TH711420
or silver as part # TH711400.
• Evo Clamp Feet, part # TH710501
• Vehicle Specific Fit Kit # TH145010
If your GTI has the roof rails that run front to back on the edges of the roof, I'd recommend a Yakima rack, using these parts:
• Yakima JetStram Crossbars in black, part # Y00425
• Yakima TimberLine Tower foot pack, part # Y33TR
