Do the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converters Require a Chassis Ground

Question:
Does this unit require grounding to the chassis? I watched a video of it being installed and no grounding in the video but the instructions say to run a ground wire from the unit to the chassis. I plan to use the plug to an outlet. The old converter was wired in. Thanks.

Yes, the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converters like part # PD9130LV must be grounded to the chassis which you can see from the photo below which was pulled from the installation instructions.
