Question:
My radiator core measurement is 19 inch wide x 20 3/4 inch tall. Im thinking of the 17 inch D18217 and am wondering if I should use a shroud with the fan. Since the fan is smaller than the core how would it be mounted? Ive considered a 19inch fan but its too thick theres not enough room between the radiator and the inline 6 cylinder motor and a pusher is precluded because of cross-bracing outside the radiator. This is a 1952 Chevy 3100 truck with a shop built radiator.

I think your best option would be the Derale 17 inch High-Output, Electric Radiator Fan w/ Aluminum Shroud # D16816. You will want to check the dimensions to be sure that this will fit behind your radiator, but it has the same size fan as the # D18217 that you referenced plus a shroud.
