Can Go Power! Inverter Wire Up to Power Distribution Center

Published 11/10/2020

Question:

Instead of putting this directly on the battery line, could you pick an open 12vdc circuit on a PDC ? That would be fused and the PDC would provide the overdraw protection, and since thats on the other side of the converter, it wouldnt matter whether it was getting 12v from the battery, or from shore power through the converter, so no transfer switching necessary. Or is there something wrong with this idea ? Our PDC dunno the model is located directly below the fridge 7cf separate freezer/fridge compartments, 2-way 110ac/propane, which doesnt have a 12vdc mode, but we want to run in transit rather than using propane. That is the only item we want to supply via the inverter.

I feel bad asking this but what is the PDC you are referring to?

That makes perfect sense! And yes you could wire up the inverter like that and it would work great.
