Hi, Once we purchase the hitch, will we need to purchase anything else?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13387 comes with everything needed to install on your 2019 BMW X3. If you are planning on towing with your vehicle, you will need a trailer wiring harness made for your vehicle. I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # TK77FR as it does not require splicing into your factory harness, which makes for a clean install.
I included the install video for the Curt # C13387 and a video for the Tekonsha Harness # TK77FR for you to watch. If you plan on towing you will also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I attached a few articles that show you how to determine the correct ball mount for your application, the correct hitch ball, and a link to all of our 2x2 ball mounts.
