Question:
Im working on a 2001 Winnebago Rialta it came with a 6 pin plug in. Looking at diagrams on line I see 1 pin labeled brake control, and the center as 12V for 6 pin connector. Winnebago diagram has the brake control wired to the brake lamps, and the center 12V to reverse lamps. I see part 47305B to adapt to 4 wire. It lloks like it doesnt use the pins for brake control or the center. The Winny has separate brake and turn lamps. How does it get brake lamp signal? The Winny is rated for towing 2000 lbs. Is there even a trailer with brakes that small? If brake control is wired to lamps wouldnt that lock up brakes if using a 6 pin trailer? Is there a tech line I can call about these questions?

I'd be shocked if your brake controller output pin on your trailer wiring was wired to the stoplights as that would lock up the trailer brakes any time the brakes were touched. Trailer brakes will normally lock up at 12 volts so you need a brake controller to gradually ramp up the voltage to apply the brakes smoothly like with something like the Brake EVN # TK63VR.
Also if the RV has trailer wiring the stoplights and turn signals would be combined on the same circuit for the wiring of the connector already so there would be no need to address that already. Adapters like the part # 47305B that reduce the wiring down to a 4-way do not have the brake controller circuit active as well.
