I have the perfect option for you to carry objects up over the bed with a hard fold tonneau cover installed on a 2018 Toyota Tundra 5.5' bed. If the tonneau cover installs inside the bed rails then the best option would be to use a stake pocket mounted ladder rack, the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # A4001666. If you were okay with drilling into the bed rails, you could install something like the Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack part # Y02-490B.
