Will Hot Spot Mirrors Fit Drivers and Passenger OEM Mirrors?

Question:
I read that it will fit either r or l mirrors. How does that work if I place each in the same outer lower portion of the oem with the curve where it is?

The mirrors have a 90-degree angle on the bottom. It is shaped like the letter D. So when it is in the D position, it would attach to the passenger side mirror. For the drivers side, you turn the mirror so the D is laying on its straight side.
