2018 Tundra Crewmax with Short Bed. I currently have a Thule Xsporter rack on the truck bed. Id like to go a rack that I can have a locking tonneau cover also. What would you suggest?

There are very high-quality options for a locking tonneau cover and rack system for your 2018 Toyota Tundra with a 5-1/2 foot short bed. The best of the bunch are the RetraxPRO XR or RetraxONE XR tonneau covers, with the difference being the fully aluminum panels of the RetraxPRO vs. the lexan (which is just a very hard plastic) panels of the RetraxONE.

These are also available in either a manual or powered cover, and both will lock at any point along the bed. They also have a rail system which will allow you to put a rack on so you can have a locking cover and ladder rack at the same time. The correct fit is going to depend on if your 2018 Toyota Tundra with a 5-1/2 has the Deck Rail System or not.

WITHOUT Deck Rail System

Then, along with any of these covers, the rack system you need is the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack - 68" Crossbars # Y01151-58 or 78" Crossbars # Y01151-59. To mount them will only require the Tonneau Cover Adapter Kit # Y01155.
