Securing a Tent to my Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform

Question:
If you have to drill into this rack to mount a rooftop tent, does it become a pretty permanent install or you can take it off but not easily? Does it in any way void the rack warranty?

It is inevitable that modifications are done to the Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform like part # JB0892 to accomplish your goals from time to time. With that said doing that can void out the warranty. There really isn't anything to go wrong with the platform so it is kind of a toss up as to how valuable the warranty is but there is a good work around.
Using the Eye Bolt Kit for Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack part # RR43178 will give you sliding attachment points you can use the blocks that slide into the platform to secure your tent to with M10 bolts. Then it can easily be removed the add the eyes back on to help secure your gear when the tent is not installed.
I've linked a video on it to check out.
