Does Trailer Wiring for 2014 Lexus RX 450h Require Trip to Dealer for Reprogramming

Question:
Hi I want to install an after market trailer package on my 2014 Lexus RX450h. I have been told that even after the wiring is connected and correct fuses installed I will need to take it Lexis for them to program the computer...for what i dont know...perhaps extra load on the electric system but nobody can answer me. Do you know if this has to be done? Many thanks
