Does this mess with my factory warranty

Programmers like the Edge part # EP25350 do not void the vehicle warranty they are installed on, but we still recommend using the programmer to put the vehicle back to stock before taking it in for warranty repairs. They shouldn't make a deal about it but it's just easier if it's not there and won't have to explain it. Plus the uninstall and install is very easy and quick.
