The Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier part # TH911XT is not listed as a fit for a 2016 Toyota Highlander according to Thule but I do have an option for you that is, the Saris Bones 3 Bike Rack part # SA801BL is a confirmed fit for your Highlander.
