Expert Reply:
I'll start off by saying that when it comes to trailer wheels, the distance that they are pushed away from the frame or closer to the frame is measured in offset; in most cases, trailer wheels will have a 0 offset because they're designed to be load bearing and moving them in or out would change the weight distribution of the trailer on the wheels.
The Americana Modular Trailer Wheels # AM22461 have a -0.5" offset which will move the hub of the wheel 0.5" further out from the trailer. Since these wheels are 6-3/4", the backspace on them will be 3-7/8".
