Will the Bestop Supertop for 2016 Ram 1500 with 6.5 Bed Help Improve Fuel Economy While Towing

Question:
I tow a travel trailer with my 2016 RAM 1500 Quad Cab, 6.5foot bed. Its my understanding trailers tow better, and get better fuel mileage, with a cap installed. Is there any reason to think this soft top wouldnt provide the same effects of a hard bed cap and help smooth out the air coming off the back of my truck?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Bestop Supertop for Truck Collapsible Bed Cover part # B76304 which is a fit for a 2016 Ram 1500 with 6-1/2' bed is going to help divert the wind away from the nose of the trailer so in that sense yes, it should also help to improve fuel economy and handling as there will be less resistance.
