The Saris Bones Hitch 3 Bike Rack part # SA883 will work just fine on a 2019 Ford Explorer. If you don't already have a trailer hitch, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98867 is what I recommend which is a bolt-on fit. The Saris Bones is an excellent option and you will able to tilt the rack away from the vehicle to get into the hatch and fold the arms down while not in use. I would however add the Hitch Tite Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock part # SA3022 for security.
