A truck toolbox such as the UWS Truck Bed Toolbox - 5th Wheel Series Chest # UWS01066 will allow the lid to open somewhat, but not entirely if you have a tonneau cover like the TruXedo Pro X15 Soft Tonneau Cover - Roll Up # TX1472001 on your 2016 GMC Sierra 2500.
