The reason is because this 2" hitch will give you the most ground clearance and bumper clearance for your rack compared to the other hitches that fit your Subaru, so you can keep your rack far from your vehicle and free from scraping the ground.
This is going to work perfectly with a bike rack such as the Swagman Chinook # S64683, Saris Freedom # SA4412B, or Saris SuperClamp EX # SA4025F.
