Will bolt on trailer hitch from 01 xterra bolt on to an 06 xterra?

There was a big enough difference between the 2001 and 2006 Xterra that a new hitch had to be made. So the Curt # 13514 that you mentioned would work for your 2006 Nissan Xterra and would be what you'd need.
