Question:
05 GMC canyon 160K miles Leaf spring are worn out to a Winch shape from constant trailer pulling. Do you think this would be an easy fix or would I need to get new leafspring set? or Maybe Timbren rubber springs and an Add a Leaf ?

Expert Reply:
The Timbren Vehicle Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work with your existing suspension system that is in good working order, not to replace worn or broken components. If the leaf springs on your 2005 GMC Canyon are in need of repair, I definitely recommend getting new leaf springs.
If you are planning on doing future towing, then I would recommend adding the Timbren springs. The Timbren # TGMFC4 that you referenced is a front suspension enhancement system. For your rear suspension, I would recommend getting the Timbren springs, # TGMRCC.
These springs simply bolt to your trucks frame rails and will provide additional support for a smooth and comfortable ride. These springs are designed to not only provide stability and reduce sag, but to improve the longevity of your vehicles suspension.
I have attached the installation instructions for both suspension enhancement systems for you to check out.
