Since your vehicle is not equipped with the 7-way, you will have to upgrade the connector. You will need to install a brake controller, as well. We have a Brake Controller Installation Guide which shows how to wire a brake controller into a vehicle that doesn't have existing wiring. As the guide mentions, in addtion to a brake controller you will also need the 7-way Brake Controller Installation kit, part number ETBC7. The 7-way connector included in the installtion kit would simply plug into your existing 4 way connector. The brake controller would mount under the dash, with the red wire ran to the positive battery terminal, via the circuit breaker included with the install kit. The white brake controller wire would run to the negative battery terminal, the blue controller output wire would be run back to the 7-way trailer connector, and the red wire on the controller would tap into the cold side of the brake stoplight switch located at the top of the brake pedal. The easiest way to locate the correct wire to tap into would be to use a circuit tester to probe each of the several wires exiting the switch, until you find the one that only shows current when the brake pedal is applied. I'll include a link to the Install Guide and any needed parts below.
