How to Determine Correct Inverter for TV and Coffee Machine

Question:

Hi, New to install of an inverter, but have used them many times in my previous rvs. I have a 5th wheel with 50 amps. Looking to install an inverter that has a on/off lcd panel and I can monitor battery power. Also, only need it installed on about 3 outlets, tv, coffee machine and 1 extra outlet. Nothing crazy. Looking at the GO Power 2000w, but dont know which one?

I can definitely help you determine the correct inverter for your TV and coffee machine. To figure out the correct inverter, you simply need to know the amount of watts your TV and coffee machine use. While TVs don't generally consume much wattage - for example the Jensen LED RV TV - 40" Screen # JTV4015DC only uses 70 watts - coffee machines use up quite a bit of energy, often over 1,000 watts.

So I think you hit the nail on the head with the 2,000 watt Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34278156.

This would be the best option for your needs, and for the on/off LCD panel that allows you to monitor your power with this inverter you simply need the Remote for Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34279999.

Then for the install you will use Installation Kit # 342GPDCKIT4. I have added links to video reviews as well as the instruction manuals for you to take a look at.

Question:

I forgot to mention I also have a generator so will this inverter know when the generators on or when I'm plugged to shore power so it can switch back and forth

Since you have different power sources, and 50 amp service, you will need to use a transfer switch with the 2,000 watt Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34278156.

The correct part for that is the Go Power Automatic Transfer Switch - Metal Case - 50 Amp # 34270278.
